I used SM81s on the hammers and a 4060 at the crotch aimed at the sound holes….
I chose these mics because after my mic shoot out I knew I wanted two small diaphragm mics and one large diaphragm at the holes
I originally wanted was the KM184s and the U87, But they wasn’t available at the time. I had to do another small shoot out and ended up with SM81s and the 4060.
